No-Cost EMI Policy
Last Updated: [Insert Date]
1. Overview
This No-Cost EMI Policy ("Policy") explains how Ention Technology Pvt. Ltd. ("Ention", "we", "us") makes laptops and accessories available on equated monthly instalments through partner banks and financing providers. This Policy applies to: • Individual (D2C) customers purchasing via the Ention website • Eligible debit and credit card holders of partner banks • Cardless EMI customers using approved financing partners
2. What is No-Cost EMI
"No-Cost EMI" means the total amount you pay across the EMI tenure is the same as the product's listed MRP — there is no additional interest cost borne by the customer. The bank's interest component is offered to you as an upfront discount by Ention, so the EMI breakdown shows ₹0 interest at the customer level. GST is applied as per government regulations on the interest component, which the bank may collect separately.
3. Eligibility
To avail No-Cost EMI, the following must be true: • The order value falls within the partner bank's minimum and maximum EMI thresholds • Your card is issued by a participating bank • Your card has sufficient available credit limit for the full order value • Your billing address is within India • The selected product is marked "No-Cost EMI eligible" on the product page
4. Participating Banks & Networks
No-Cost EMI is available on cards issued by leading partner banks, including (subject to change): • HDFC Bank • ICICI Bank • Axis Bank • Kotak Mahindra Bank • SBI Card • Standard Chartered Cardless EMI is offered through select partners such as ZestMoney, Bajaj Finserv, and similar providers, subject to their own approval flow.
5. Available Tenures
Standard tenures offered: • 3 months • 6 months • 9 months • 12 months Some products and banks may offer longer tenures (18 or 24 months) at checkout. The exact tenures shown depend on the order value and your card-issuing bank.
6. How to Avail No-Cost EMI
1. Add the eligible product to your cart and proceed to checkout 2. Select "EMI" as the payment method 3. Choose your card-issuing bank 4. Pick a tenure (3 / 6 / 9 / 12 months) 5. Enter your card details and complete OTP verification Your card will be charged the full order amount upfront. The bank then converts the transaction to EMI within 3–7 business days and reflects the monthly instalment in your statement.
7. Processing Fees
Most partner banks charge a one-time processing fee (typically ₹99–₹299 or a small percentage of the order value). This fee: • Is charged by the bank, not by Ention • Is reflected in your first or second card statement • Is not part of the EMI instalment Ention does not collect any processing fee directly from the customer.
8. Cancellation & Returns on EMI Orders
If you cancel or return an EMI order: • Ention refunds the full transaction amount to your card-issuing bank • The bank reverses the EMI plan and credits your card account • Any processing fee already debited is generally non-refundable (bank policy) • Interest already billed by the bank for cycles before the reversal may also be non-refundable EMI reversals typically take 7–14 business days to reflect on your card statement.
9. Missed Payments
Once the EMI plan is set up, the bank handles the monthly billing. Missed or late EMI payments are governed entirely by your bank's terms and may attract: • Late payment fees • Interest charges on the outstanding amount • Impact on your credit score Ention is not responsible for any charges levied by the bank after the EMI plan is activated.
10. Limitations
No-Cost EMI is not available on: • Orders below the bank's minimum threshold • Orders paid via UPI, net banking, or wallet • Some accessories and add-on items (where explicitly marked) • Combined orders that mix EMI-eligible and ineligible items, unless paid separately Ention reserves the right to add, remove, or modify EMI offers at any time without prior notice.
11. Data & Privacy
Card and EMI eligibility checks are performed by our payment gateway and the partner bank — Ention does not store your card number, CVV, or full bank statement. EMI-related data shared with you (tenure, fee, schedule) is taken from the bank's response at checkout. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for how we handle order-related data.
